How To Use

Apply a quarter-sized amount of balm to clean, dry hands. Gently massage onto skin, allowing the balm to dissolve makeup and sunscreen. Add warm water to emulsify the balm into a milky texture, then remove with a warm, damp washcloth.

Founder's Note

Cleansing is the most critical step in skincare. This balm is waterless and we formulated it to work with your skin and preserve the acid mantle. This helps avoid overproduction of oil due to "squeaky clean" stripping cleanser, which leads to breakouts. The milky texture cleanses and hydrates at the same time, no need to double cleanse.

For overactive or hormonal acneic skin: Let the balm rest on your skin for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off, this helps the anti-inflammation actives work their magic and calm. This balm has been used by desert dwellers as an overnight mask. However, it may transfer to your pillow, so apply a small amount and let it absorb fully.

To cultivate your inner oasis, this balm is the perfect gua sha slip. I use this instead of a face oil. Once the balm is applied, use your hands or a gua sha tool and follow the natural contours of your face, gently massage in upwards motion or towards your lymph nodes to promote lymphatic drainage. Gently remove with a damp and warm washcloth.

Best Cleanser
This is the best cleanser I've ever used. It smells wonderful, but cleans even better. There is never a trace of makeup left after washing my face with this cleanser, and it doesn't dry out my face. I will never switch!

my favorite, but quality disappoints
This is my favorite cleansing balm, but the quality of this batch is disappointing. The balm arrived separating and very liquid like. I've tried mixing it back together, but it remains quite drippy and unpleasant to use. Not what I'd expect of a product at this price point.

Hi Mary, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We conduct stability and compatibility testing which tests the balm at high temperatures. Although, the balm has passed - it does have a melting point and the additional hot weather during summer with the increased temperature of the trucks, this melting could be what you are experiencing. We suggest putting the balm in the refrigerator, letting it solidify and then taking it out when you are ready to use it. The texture should be fine after that but you can always repeat this step if you like a more solid balm.
